Students in Humanities Social Studies 9 with Ms. Johanna Pastel have been revising and improving upon inventions during their study of the the Industrial Revolution and its innovations. Using the simplest of materials, students have recreated a steam train, a water frame, an aqueduct, a steamship, and an early tractor. This project requires collaboration and creativity, two of the transferable skills we provide students ample practice in developing during their time at Lake Region. Engaged and energized, listening and laughing, students worked together and talked their way through this project. Please continue scrolling for more photos of students at work.
