🚍 Being Clear About Busing Challenges
Dear OCSU Families and Students,
Our Supervisory Union contracts with Butler’s Bus Service for all of our bus routes. Like many transportation providers, Butler’s is currently facing staffing and scheduling challenges, which will likely impact your child’s bus route at some point this year.
These challenges may result in route cancellations, delays, combined routes, or schedule changes. I know some of you have already experienced this. I want to be transparent with our whole community so that everyone can be prepared, and I encourage you to consider a backup transportation plan for your child(ren).
We are deeply grateful for our dedicated drivers who continue to staff our routes and keep our students safe each day. At the same time, I want to be clear that these challenges are real and likely to continue. We will always reach out and communicate with you as soon as we know about a disruption. Having a backup plan in place can help avoid the last-minute planning that comes with an unexpected route change.

- sister-school meeting structures and recruitment strategies
- representation on the OCSU PTCA
- provide feedback on school/district websites
