Mandatory Staff Training
Each year all employees within OCSU or member schools are required to participate in training regarding the following areas:

- Universal Precautions and Bloodborne Pathogens
- Recognizing and Responding to Bias & Inequity (building principals will determine how groups with conduct the scenario discussions for this training)
- Confidentiality and FERPA
- Act 1: Prevention of Child Sexual Abuse
- Acceptable Use Guidelines for Electronic Communications
- Hazing, Harassment and Bullying of Students
- Employee Harassment
- Mandatory Reporting to DCF
- Rule 4500: Restraint and Seclusion
- Civil Rights in Child Nutrition Programs (anyone who serves food to students either in the cafeteria or in their classrooms)
- Concussion training (only coaches and PE teachers)
- ALICE training (a link will be emailed individuals needing this training)
